Hulu PLUS and Netflix

I recently got WiFi at home and a Blu ray player...finally catching up with technology so I purchased a Sony Blu-ray Disc/DVD player with built in WiFi. I also ought a new TV to complement my Blu-ray player. OK, not really! My old TV wasn't compatible with the Blu-ray player so I had to get a new one. I got an RCA TV. 

I absolutely LOVE the Blu-ray player! There are so many awesome features that it comes with and I love that it is wireless. I won't bore you with all the features but feel free to click my link above if you are interested. The TV is great too! It is WAY better than my 19 inch that I was using an antenna hanging in my mini blinds with a cable strung across the living room to my TV to get a few local channels.

After getting the DVD player I had to check out some of the features. My son is in love with Netflix so that is what we predominantly use. I also signed up for a trial of Hulu PLUS. There are pros and cons to both. I can see the benefits of both services so I will be keeping them both as of right now. I love that Netflix doesn't have commercials but their shows are not the current episodes like Hulu PLUS. I don't like watching commercials like on Hulu PLUS but the commercials are short so I guess it's not too bad. There are lots of movie options on both Netflix and Hulu PLUS. I doubt I'll have a shortage of things to watch. I love that Netflix has a kids area. I have to figure out how to set parental controls on Hulu PLUS so my son doesn't accidentally come across some TV-MA shows. I also love the portability of both Netflix and Hulu PLUS. I am able to watch both of them on my Samsung Galaxy S4 and my son can watch them both on his Samsung tablet.
